Manage billing
Billing is per-organisation, not per-user. The owner (or any admin you’ve delegated to) manages it from the Billing tab.
- From the sidebar bottom dock, click Organisation Settings.
- Open the Billing tab.
You’ll see one of two states:
No subscription yet
Section titled “No subscription yet”If your org doesn’t have a Stripe customer record yet (typical for fresh sign-ups still in trial), you see a Choose a plan button in the Billing card. Click it to start checkout.
Existing subscription
Section titled “Existing subscription”If you already have a subscription, you see:
- The plan and price breakdown (per-member pricing).
- Subscription status —
active,trialing,past_due, orcanceled. - A summary of your current state in plain English (“You’re on a free trial. 14 days left, no payment method yet.”).
- A Manage billing button that opens the Stripe customer portal for payment methods, invoices, tax details, and cancellation.
Trial state
Section titled “Trial state”New orgs get a free trial. The Billing card tells you:
- How many days you’ve used.
- How many days remain (e.g. (7 days away)).
- An inline Choose a plan link if you want to add a payment method early.
When the trial expires without a payment method, the org is read- only until billing is set up — your data is never deleted, just locked.
Member-based pricing
Section titled “Member-based pricing”The Standard plan is priced per member. The card shows the breakdown:
Monthly: 5 members × $X = $YWhen you add or remove members, the next invoice reflects the change.
Tax details
Section titled “Tax details”If your jurisdiction requires tax IDs on invoices, set them in the Stripe customer portal — Manage billing → Tax. SteadyOn picks them up for the next invoice.
Downloading invoices
Section titled “Downloading invoices”The Stripe customer portal has a full invoice history with downloadable PDFs. SteadyOn doesn’t store invoices itself — Stripe is the source of truth.
