Remove a member
When a colleague leaves or no longer needs access, remove them from the organisation. Their work history stays — only their access is revoked.
- From the sidebar bottom dock, click Organisation Settings.
- Open the Members tab.
- Find the member in the list.
- Click the kebab menu (⋯) next to their name → Remove.
- Confirm.
They’re removed from the Members list. Their session is revoked — even if they have a tab open elsewhere, the next interaction will sign them out.
What stays after removal
Section titled “What stays after removal”- Every entity they created (hazards, incidents, actions, etc.) stays.
- Audit log entries naming them remain — names are snapshotted at the time of the change, so the historical record is intact.
- Their Person record (if any) is not deleted — only the user link is removed. Archive the person separately if appropriate.
What can’t be removed this way
Section titled “What can’t be removed this way”- Owners. You can’t remove an owner with this flow. Either demote them to admin first (see Change a member’s role), or use Transfer ownership.
- Yourself if you’re the only owner. Promote someone else to owner first.
What if they re-join later
Section titled “What if they re-join later”Inviting them back adds them as a fresh member. Their previous work is still tagged to their old name — the audit history will show them as having been a member from date A to B, then again from C.
