Conduct an inspection

The Conduct tab is the working surface during a run. It’s designed to be used on a phone in the field, with big tap targets and a one-tap action-raising affordance for failures.

  1. Open the inspection from the Inspections list.
  2. Switch to the Conduct tab.
  3. For each item:
    • Tap Pass, Fail, or N-A.
    • Optionally add a Note — useful for context on a pass, often required by your template on a fail.
    • For a fail, tap Raise action to capture the corrective action inline. (See Raise an action from a finding.)
  4. Work through every item. The header shows progress (e.g. “12 of 18 items”).
  5. When complete, open the kebab menu (⋯) and click Complete.
  6. Confirm.

The inspection’s status moves to Complete. SteadyOn calculates the score and BRAG.

Score = Pass / (Pass + Fail) × 100

N-A items are excluded.

100%Green
80–99%Amber
Below 80%Red

Configure the pass threshold in Organisation Settings → Configuration → BRAG thresholds.

Your responses are saved as you go. You can close the page mid-run and pick up later — your pass / fail / N-A choices and notes will be there when you reopen.

If a scheduled run isn’t going to happen (the site is closed, the inspector is away):

  1. Open the run.
  2. From the kebab menu (⋯), click Cancel.
  3. Confirm and add a reason.

The status changes to Cancelled and the BRAG turns blue. Schedule a replacement run if needed.

If a complete run needs further work (you missed an item, or the score was wrong):

  1. From the kebab menu (⋯), click Reopen.
  2. Confirm.

Status returns to In progress. Note that reopening leaves the audit trail visible — anyone reading the log can see the run was completed, reopened, and re-completed.
